Alexie Shirov begins well

NEW DELHI, FEB. 25. In keeping with his reputation, Alexie Shirov came up with an aggressive start against Teimour Radjabov in the sixth round of the Linares chess tournament here on Wednesday.

The results: Sixth round: Veselin Topalov (2/4) playing Garry Kasparov (2/4); Francisco Vallejo (2/4) playing Peter Leko (2.5/4); Alexie Shirov (2/4) playing Teimour Radjabov (2/5); Vladimir Kramnik (2.5/5) bye.

Seventh round: Leko-Shirov; Kasparov-Vallejo; Kramnik-Topalov; Radjabov bye.
