Secular parties should unite: CPI

By Our Staff Reporter

KOZHIKODE, FEB. 25. The CPI leader, P. K. Vasudevan Nair, has said that a polarisation of secular forces was necessary in the coming Lok Sabha elections.

``The forthcoming election is crucial since the results at the hustings will decide the future of the secular fabric of India. The interests of Kerala in the Lok Sabha is at stake too, and can be protected only if there was a strong presence of Left Parties in the house.''

Speaking to presspersons here today in what could be termed a `campaign address', Mr. Vasudevan Nair appealed to secular parties to be part of the anti-BJP front.
