`Only Congress candidates from Adoor, Kollam'

KOLLAM, FEB. 25. The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee acting president, P.P. Thankachan, has said that it would only be Congress candidates contesting from the Kollam and Adoor constituencies.

He was addressing a leadership convention organised by the Kollam DCC. He said that the party would not entertain any submission from any of the UDF constituents making a claim over the two seats. The RSP(B) and the Kerala Congress(B) had been staking claim for the Kollam and Adoor seats respectively. In this context, Mr. Thankachan's announcement was greeted with thundering applause by those attending the meeting.
