ITF Futures tournament in Chennai

CHENNAI, FEB. 25. The Chennai edition of the ITF men's Futures tennis tournament will be held at the SDAT Numgambakkam Stadium from March 1 to 6. The qualifying rounds will start from February 28.

The Rs. 10 lakh tournament, to be conducted by the Tamil Nadu Tennis Association, is being sponsored by India Pistons. The co-sponsors are MM Forgings, SDAT and The Sportstar.

The prominant Indians in the fray are Rohan Bopanna, Sunil Kumar, Vijay Kannan, Mustafa Ghouse and Vinod Sridhar. Todar Enev (Bulgaria), Orest Tereshchuk (Ukraine), Alexey Kedriouk (Kazakhistan), and Patrick Schmolzer (Austria), among others, will bring up the foreign challenge.
