MobiApps, AMDL bag BMTC order
BANGALORE: MobiApps, a provider of hybrid, terrestrial and satellite technologies for industrial communications, and Advanced Micronic Devices (AMDL), a supplier of GPS equipment, have bagged an order from Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) to track the corporation's 1,400 buses. The project will be implemented in the first four months of a six-year build-own-transfer deal. MobiApps and AMDL will establish a control centre and install radio transmitters in BMTC vehicles, whose signals will be tracked by a GPS based system, says a release. The project will be commissioned in the next four months.
