Police bandobast for CBSE exams

By Our Staff Reporter

THE DELHI, FEB. 26. The Delhi police have taken several measures to check malpractices and ensure a safe environment around examination centres for the forthcoming Class X and XII examinations being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Prohibitory orders around the examination centres throughout the Capital would be in place for the examinations commencing from the first week of March. Congregation, carrying explosives or arms have been banned. Use of photocopy machines and other devices which could be used for copying or facilitating the same have also been banned. No loudspeakers would be allowed around the centres.

Police personnel will be deployed in adequate numbers to ensure that anti-social elements or other unwanted people do not assemble around the centres. The police have also advised parents and guardians not to indulge in any behaviour which may disrupt the peace during examinations.

For the CBSE personnel, adequate police escort would be provided at the CBSE headquarters and to the Director of Education for ferrying question papers and delivering them safely.
