PONDICHERRY, FEB. 28. The Education Minister, K. Lakshminarayanan, has said that the Education department has drawn up plans to introduce the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) syllabus from the primary level of school education in the Union Territory. Distributing prizes to students of Petit Seminaire Higher Secondary school on the occasion of the institution's 158th annual day celebrations here today, Mr. Lakshminarayanan said that though presently not less than 85 percent of the children of school going age had been enrolled in schools the quality of education should be toned up. To ensure this the Administration would soon introduce the CBSE syllabus.
