Pondicherry
By Our Staff Reporter
PONDICHERRY, FEB. 28. The Pondicherry Pradesh Congress Committee Chief, V. Narayanasamy, today said he had made clear to a PMK delegation that there was no formation of the Democratic Progressive Alliance for the Lok Sabha poll in the Union Territory. The Pattali Makkal Katchi team led by the local unit convener, N. G. Panneerselvam, last night met him here and proposed a joint campaign by the Congress and the PMK. Mr. Narayanasamy told this correspondent that he had told the delegation that the Congress was still persisting with the All-India Congress Committee to get the Pondicherry seat reallocated to the party. Any decision on its course of action would be taken only after getting a reply from the AICC. The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, which heads the DPA, allotted the seat to the PMK.
