NEW DELHI, FEB. 28. The Bharatiya Janata Party's Delhi unit today asked its workers to gear up for the forthcoming general elections and inform the people about the various development projects undertaken by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government at the Centre. The party also decided to highlight the Union Government's efforts in the development of the Capital and the failures of the Congress Government in Delhi. Addressing party workers, the Delhi BJP chief, Harsh Vardhan, said by leading a multi-party Government for six years, Mr. Vajpayee had proved his leadership skills, and riding on this success, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was heading for a massive victory in the polls. "Not only the BJP workers but also the leaders and members of coalition partners have full faith in the leadership of Mr. Vajpayee." Mr. Vardhan claimed that what the country failed to achieve in over four decades of Congress rule, it has successfully gained during the NDA Government in just five years. "Vast highway network, strong communication system, high growth of development, schemes for farmers and good infrastructure development, all prove the skills of the NDA Government." Exhorting party workers to start highlighting the achievements of their governments, the Delhi BJP chief said party workers were confident that nobody could now stop the NDA from coming back to power. On the occasion, Farokh Aragali, the founder of Koran Hindi Society and the secretary of Urdu Conference, joined the BJP.
