Rain likely in Kerala

CHENNAI, FEB. 29. Isolated rainfall occurred over Kerala. Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu,Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshadweep. Thiruvanathapuram Airport and Varkala (Thiruvananthapuram dt) recorded 1 Cm rainfall.

The minimum temperature rose at one or two places over South Tamil Nadu, south Kerala, south interior Karnataka, fell at a few places over Telangana, at one or two places over rest South Interior Karnataka and changed a little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over Telangana, North Interior Karnataka. North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, above normal at one or two places over rest Karnataka, rest Telangana, North Kerala, Interior Tamil Nadu, appreciably below normal at many places over rest Tamilnadu, at one or two places over Rayalaseema, below normal at one or two places over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Arogyavaram recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 15 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Tuesday morning): Isolated rain is likely to occur over Kerala. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: Sunny weather.
