Pondicherry
By Our Staff Reporter
PONDICHERRY, FEB. 29. The president of the Pondicherry State unit of the BJP, R. Kesavalu said here today that although the party had scheduled to commence the poll campaign on March 7 by inviting functionaries of the national committee of the party, the campaign work would be intensively taken up only some weeks later as there was sufficiently long gap between now and poll date for Pondicherry. Mr. Kesavalu said that the earlier plan to invite the functionaries of the national committee of the party to launch formally the poll campaign here on March 7 was being put off probably to the first week of April. The member of national BJP executive committee, Venugopal Reddy would look after the poll related organisational work here. In the AIADMK BJP combine the lone seat here has been clinched for the BJP.
