KOLKATA, FEB. 29. Armaan Ebrahim of Chennai won the Formula LGB class event in the first leg of the seventh JK Tyre National road racing, championship was held at Rajarhat Megacity, near here, on Sunday. Ebrahim, the youngest driver among the top rallyists of the country, also made history by clinching the highest speed category of cars, on the 1300cc engines modified by LGB Motor Sport (Coimbatore). This section was inducted into the National road racing event for the first time. The 15-year-old driver received an award in the Formula Maruti class 800cc cars as the best novice in the category. Gaurav Gill of Delhi dominated the Formula Maruti category while defending champion J.D. Madan of Chennai took the top honours in the Esteem Saloon class. The results: Formula Maruti class: 1. Gaurav Gill (Delhi) 25:14.891; 2. Amittrajit Ghosh (Kolkata); 3. Rayomond Banajee (Pune) 1:39.483. Best Novice: Armaan Ebrahim (Chennai) 25:49.589. Esteem Saloon class: 1. J.D. Madan (Chennai) 25:37.840; 2. T.R. Radhaselvaraj (Chennai); 3. Arun Vasu (also best novice) 25:39.552. Formula LGB class: 1. Armaan Ebrahim (Chennai) 7:57.841 (5 laps); 2.
