NEW DELHI, FEB. 29. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is holding the Safety Awareness Week from March 1 to 6, in which safety induction training programmes, seminars and presentation would be held in the Delhi Metro offices and work sites. Special safety training capsules pertaining to metro maintenance, signalling and telecommunication and rolling stock would be organised during the week and cash prizes will be given to employees who win awards for their papers on the subject. A safety quiz wills also be held for all metro employees. The DMRC is implementing the metro project in one of the most difficult urban construction environments as all activities are taking place in extremely crowded and difficult conditions. The intention of the safety week is to restore safety values and training among the metro officers and staff.
