DURBAN, FEB. 29. A girl of Indian origin has been raped and murdered in the South African coastal city of Port Elizabeth, police said. Samantha Singh, 22, and her boyfriend were abducted by two men near the suburb of Cleary Park. When their car ran out of fuel, she was raped by the two. Her companion, Salvadore Bambi, was tied up and stabbed in the face and head. Police said Bambi was able to free himself and run for help before being admitted to hospital in a serious condition.
