This Day That Age
Mr. Anthony Eden, the British Foreign Secretary, gave an assurance in London on March 1 that it remained Britain's policy to support the reunification of Korea after free elections in North and South Korea. Mr. Arthur Henderson, Labour, had asked in the House of Commons if the Foreign Secretary would give such an assurance, Mr. Eden replied: "Yes". Mr. Henderson then asked whether the United States, French and other Governments associated with Britain in Korea accepted or agreed with that policy. Mr. Eden said he thought there could be no doubt about it.
