Letters to the Editor
Sir, Surendra's cartoon (March 2) rightly depicted the Chief Election Commissioner as "The Lord of the Ring." K. Manjula, Secunderabad * * * Sir, Kudos to the CEC for saying "let India shine in the conduct of elections." Let not political parties and candidates use muscle and money power in the coming elections. Let us feel proud of being part of the world's largest democracy. Anirudh Govind Rajan, New Delhi * * * Sir, The CEC's idea of giving voters a `none-of-the-above' choice is incredible. This is not only an inappropriate response to a difficult problem but actually seeks to undermine the electoral process altogether by denying the process the legitimacy it currently enjoys. Dilip Rao, Little Rock, Arkansas, U.S.
