Congress-TRS tie-up

Sir, — The alliance between the Congress and the Telangana Rashtra Samiti in Andhra Pradesh virtually quashes the Telugu Desam Party's poll prospects in the Telangana region. The TRS has a sizeable support in Telangana as proved when it won two Zilla Parishads out of 10 ZPs in the region in 2001.
