MUMBAI, MARCH 2. Tata Motors has unveiled the Tata Indigo Advent at the 74th Geneva Auto Show. The Indigo Advent is an extension of the Tata Motors' versatile compact car platform. This platform has already enabled the company to launch the Indica hatchback, the Indigo sedan and the Indigo Station Wagon in India. The new Indica hatchback and the Station Wagon will be available in Europe later this year. The Tata Indigo Advent is a crossover offering a combination of attractive features of a sports utility vehicle (SUV) and a Station Wagon. The Indigo Advent is powered by a 85 ps gasoline and a 70 ps turbo charged inter-cooled diesel engine. It rides an independent McPherson strut suspension in front and a 3-link, independent suspension at the rear. Ratan Tata, Chairman, Tata Group, said, "The new Indigo Advent continues to demonstrate the company's ability to explore and harness the versatility of the car platform and it showcases the engineering capabilities at Tata Motors. The thrust of the company is to continually innovate and provide cars best suited for the changing needs of our customers worldwide.''
