PANAJI, MARCH 2. A day after promising to adhere to the electoral code of conduct, the Goa Government today found itself in a fix with the election office here taking serious note of an advertisement in a daily newspaper highlighting the Parrikar Government's achievements. "The advertisement appears to be in violation of the code of conduct, and we will be writing to the Government asking them for a clarification on the matter. We cannot allow any kind of violation, whether by the Government or by any other party," the Chief Electoral Officer, B.S. Bhalla, said here. The Congress had objected to the advertisement and said it would send an official complaint soon. Mr. Bhalla said that no action would be taken before the Government's side was heard.
