Right step

Sir, — Coming on the heels of the rule making it mandatory for candidates to file an affidavit stating their educational qualifications, criminal antecedents, etc., the Delhi High Court directive to the Election Commission to publicise the candidates' dues to public utilities along with their financial liabilities to banks is one more step in the right direction.
