51 huts damaged in fire accidents

CUDDAPAH, MARCH. 3. Fifty-one thatched houses were gutted in two separate fire mishaps at Kumbhagiri in Atlur mandal and in Mydukur town since midnight on Tuesday.

Thirty-five huts were gutted in Mydukur this afternoon and the loss is estimated to be around Rs. 10 lakhs. Details were awaited.

Meanwhile, 16 thatched houses were gutted in Kumbhagiri village in Atlur mandal in the early hours of Wednesday, causing a loss of about Rs. 3.50 lakhs.
