i-flex survey `finds' banks want better software
BANGALORE: A little over half the bankers who responded to a survey by i-flex, the Bangalore-based vendor of banking software, wanted to buy new and more flexible core banking software applications, a company release said here on Tuesday. Some 200 bankers responded to the survey, conducted at a `Financial leadership summit', held by i-flex last month. Eighty per cent of the respondents wanted an application that could handle a variety of loans. Sixtytwo per cent wanted the application to be `flexible' and preferred to buy from single vendors, the release said. Half the bankers polled said during fiscal 2004-05, they wanted to encourage Internet banking and implement customer resource management software applications.
