KOCHI, MARCH 3. The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) arrested Sajira, a gynaecologist attached to the Thripunitura taluk hospital, for accepting bribe from a patient's husband here today. The patient's husband, Satyan of Peringotturveedu, Thiruvankulam filed a complaint with the VACB saying that the doctor had demanded Rs. 1,500 for the treatment of his wife who was admitted at the taluk hospital. He had paid Rs. 500 to the doctor before approaching the bureau. The doctor was arrested from her residence near the hospital.
