`CPI(M) trying to avoid division of anti-BJP votes'

BHUBANESWAR, MARCH 4. The CPI(M) today said that it was working towards avoiding or minimising division of anti-BJP votes in the Lok Sabha elections.

``We have worked out our electoral line and our primary aim is to defeat the BJP-led alliance,'' the CPI(M) politburo member, Prakash Karat, told presspersons here.

The aim was to ensure the formation of a secular Government at the Centre and the strategy had been finalised in different States, he said. The party will field candidates in 70 Lok Sabha seats, including one in Orissa. — PTI
