`RS candidate's selection soon'

KOZHIKODE, MARCH 5. The UDF convener, Oommen Chandy, today said that the Congress candidate for the lone Rajya Sabha seat would be announced along with the candidates for the Lok Sabha elections.

Talking to reporters here, Mr. Chandy denied any problems within the Congress on candidate selection for the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha elections. ``The committee will recommend a panel of candidates to the scrutiny committee in New Delhi. Then the scrutiny committee's recommendation will be finalised by a central election committee.''
