THRISSUR, MARCH. 5. Geetha Krishnamurthy, the wife of the Chief Election Commissioner, T. S. Krishnamurthy, will present a veena recital at the Sreekrishna temple in Guruvayur near here on Saturday. A disciple of A. Chitti Babu, she has performed at the Music Academy, Chennai, Narada Gana Sabha, Krishna Gana Sabha and R. R. Sabha. She is a recipient of the Veena Gana Mani title and the Emani Shankara Sastri award, instituted by the Tamil Isai Sanghom and Narada Gana Sabha respectively. A lecturer in English at Ethiraj College, Chennai, she is taking advanced lessons in music from Nedunuri Krishnamurthy and the Hyderabad brothers.
