Women naxals attack railway station

NAGPUR, MARCH 5. A group of 11 women naxalites today attacked the Makodi Railway Station on the Maharashtra-Andhra Pradesh border and destroyed official documents, a senior police official said here.

``Naxals looted some telephone instruments, walkie-talkie and burnt some papers of the station. They also raised slogans against the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, and the BJP,'' the Inspector-General of Police, Nagpur Range, Pankaj Gupta, said.

On earlier reports that there was a blast at the railway station, he said: ``There was no blast, as initially reported by police.'' — PTI
