JAIPUR, MARCH 6. The Rajasthan Government has reconstituted 11 fast track sessions courts in the State as the Motor Accident Claims Tribunals and appointed their judges as the presiding officers of the respective tribunals. A notification issued here over the week-end specified that these tribunals would hear only those cases which are transferred to them by the Rajasthan High Court or the sessions courts or other tribunals functioning in their respective areas. The new tribunals are situated in Jaipur, Bhilwara, Udaipur, Beawar, Jodhpur, Dausa, Bharatpur, Dholpur and Sriganganagar. While most of them were earlier dealing with the civil and criminal cases, the Bhilwara court was hearing the cases of atrocities against women and the Sriganganagar court was functioning as the labour court.
