Plea against Soopy: order on March 10

KOZHIKODE, MARCH 6. The Kozhikode Vigilance Inquiry Commissioner and Special Judge, M.R. Gopalakrishnan Nair, today posted for order on March 10, a petition seeking a Vigilance inquiry against the Education Minister, Nalakath Soopy, and four others in the B.Ed. case.

Based on the complaint, the judge had initiated a preliminary inquiry by the Court under Section 202 of the Criminal Procedure Code (Cr.PC) for deciding whether there sufficient grounds for proceeding against the accused. The judge today completed the preliminary inquiry and posted the case for order on March 10.
