Dry weather in South

CHENNAI, MARCH 6. Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

On Friday, the maximum temperature rose at one or two places over Telangana, Rayalaseema, fell at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere over the region.

They were markedly above normal at one or two places over extreme north Telangana, appreciably above normal at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over rest Telangana, Rayalaseema, Karnataka, north interior Tamil Nadu, above normal at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over rest Andhra Pradesh, rest Karnataka, Kerala and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Nizamabad, Kunrool and Bellary recorded the highest maximum temperature of 40 degree Celsius in the region.

The minimum temperature fell markedly at one or two places over south interior Karnataka, fell appreciably at one or two places over rest south interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, fell at one or two places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh. Coastal Tamil Nadu, rest Karnataka, rose appreciably at one or two places over Telangana, rose at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably above normal at many places over Telangana, at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, above normal at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, south Kerala, appreciably below normal at one or two places over Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, below normal at one or two places over north coastal Tamil Nadu, rest interior Karnataka and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Mandya and Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 15 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Monday morning): Mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
