55 apply for Congress ticket in Hassan

HASSAN, MARCH 6. Fifty-five people have applied for the Congress ticket for contesting in the Hassan Lok Sabha Constituency and eight Assembly Constituencies in the district, according to the General Secretary of the District Congress Committee, A.G. Hari Gopal.

While 51, including 13 former MLAs, have applied for nomination to the Assembly seats, only two, including the former MP, G. Puttaswamy Gowda, and the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee Secretary, C.V. Rajappa, have filed their applications for candidature in the Lok Sabha seat.

K.H. Hanume Gowda, member of the previous Assembly, K.M. Raje Gowda, the former municipal president, Channaveerappa, the Chairman of Hassan Urban Development Authority, B.K. Manjunath, S.K. Nagaraj, B.K. Rangaswamy, K.T. Girish, and Vinay Gandhi have filed their applications for contesting for the Hassan Assembly seat.

The former MLA, A. Dodde Gowda, the former MP, G. Puttaswamy Gowda, Some Gowda, and Raje Gowda have filed their applications for Holenarsipur. The son of the district in-charge Minister and zilla panchayat member, H.S. Vijayakumar, S. Anand, Shivappa, C.N. Chandre Gowda, K.T. Govinde Gowda, and Kabbali Range Gowda have submitted their applications for Shravanabelagola.

A. Manju, member of the previous Assembly, and the former MLA, A.T. Ramaswamy, have filed their applications for Arkalgud.

The former MLA, B. Shivaram, and Jayalakshmi Rajanna Gowda have filed their applications for Gandsi. The former Chairman of the Slum Clearance Board, B.V. Chandraprasad Tyagi, Adagur Venkatesh, Hariyayya, B.H. Lakshmanaiah, D. Mallesh, Muniswamy, H.R. Narayan, Paramesh, D.C. Sannaswamy, Shivaiah, and Shivamma Sali have submitted applications for Belur (reserved). The former MLA, B.B. Shivappa, E.S. Chandrashekar, K.B. Chandru, B.R. Gurudev, H.P. Kantharaju, N. Sreenivas, and K.T. Veeresh have submitted applications for Sakleshpur. The former MLA, G.V. Siddappa, Hanumappa, S.C. Siddaramappa, H.S. Nandeesh, H.S. Dhananjaya Murthy, M.G. Shivashankaraswamy, Gurusiddesh, B.H. Raju, Veerabhadrappa, and Parameshwarappa have filed applications for Arsikere.
