98 elected unopposed to NSS sabha

KOTTAYAM,
MARCH 6.
As many as 98 persons have been elected unopposed to the `prathinidhi sabha' of the Nair Service Society (NSS).
According to a pressnote, 111 seats from 44 taluk unions were open for election this year. Elections to the remaining seats would be held on March 14 at the respective taluk unions and the results declared the same day.
This would involve the election of 11 institutional representatives from Kollam, Neyyattinkara, Ranni, High Range, Thodupuzha and Kottarakkara taluk unions; 23 persons are in the fray for these seats.
In addition, three were in the fray for the two individual seats from the Thiruvananthapuram taluk union, the press note said.
