Shuttle services Tiruchi and Kumbakonam

TIRUCHI, MARCH 6. Southern Railway will operate two shuttle services between Tiruchi and Kumbakonam on March 7.

The first train will leave Tiruchi at 8 a.m. with Diesel Multiple Electric Units (DEMU) comprising six bogies. The other train will leave Tiruchi at 10 a.m. with 20 conventional bogies.

One DEMU will be stationed at Thanjavur and two at Kumbakonam, which will be operated in open timings according to demand. In addition to this, on metre gauge section between Kumbakonam and Mayiladuturai special passenger trains will be operated in open timings, said a Southern Railway spokesperson.
