Objection to Rehan Baig's bail plea
By Our Staff Reporter
BANGALORE,
MARCH 6.
An objection to the bail application of Rehan Baig, younger brother of the former Minister, R. Roshan Baig, and an accused in the stamp paper racket, was filed today by the Public Prosecutor before the Special Court trying the cases.
Mr. Rehan Baig had filed the application on February 26. In the objection, the Public Prosecutor, S.V. Janardhan, maintained that the material before the court prima facie showed the alleged involvement of Rehan Baig in the racket. The judge, A.T. Manoli, said arguments would be heard on March 12.
The judge posted to March 9 the hearing of arguments on the bail application of Abdul Khuddus, an accused in the scam. He also posted to March 12 the hearing on similar applications by Jitendra Maddar and Balaji, other accused in the case.
