Srinivas Prasad holds talks with Rajasekhara Murthy

BANGALORE,
MARCH 6.
V. Srinivas Prasad, who joined the Janata Dal (S) here today, held discussions with the BJP MP, M. Rajasekhara Murthy, and requested him to join the party.
Mr. Murthy has been vacillating on joining the Janata Dal (S) although he reportedly gave an assurance some time ago that he would do so. His son-in-law, Chidanand, was elected on the Janata Dal (S) ticket to the Legislative Council recently.
Mr. Prasad said he would have another round of talks with Mr. Murthy on Monday.
It was said that Mr. Prasad and the former MP, H.D. Kumaraswamy, had been asked to talk to Mr. Murthy and win him over.
