Air hostess' husband seeks anticipatory bail

NEW DELHI, MARCH 6. Air hostess Neetu's estranged husband Jitendra Loura, who allegedly attempted to kill his brother-in-law and torched his in-law's house, has filed an application in a Delhi Court seeking anticipatory bail.

In an application filed in the court of Additional Sessions Judge at the Patiala House District Court, Loura said the FIR lodged by his father-in-law at Kotla Mubarakpur police station was to harass him. While seeking anticipatory bail, Loura, an Air Traffic Controller at Safdarjung Airport, said, ``The applicant was falsely implicated in the present case. The applicant was on duty on the date from 0730 hrs to 1700 hrs at his office.'' B S Dahiya, the father of Neetu, in a complaint alleged that Loura had torched his house on Mandir Marg in Central Delhi.

Loura had also allegedly attempted to kill Neetu's brother a few days back as his demand for more dowry was not fulfilled, said the complaint filed on February 2.

The application filed by Loura said that the circumstantial evidence so far revealed that nobody had gone to torch the house. Witness Kartik who first informed the Fire Brigade about the fire had also not seen anybody near the house, it added. The Judge will hear the bail application on Monday.
