KOCHI, MARCH 6. The flights of Gulf Air and Air-India from Abu Dhabi to Kochi were delayed for many hours today following a sandstorm and haze in Abu Dhabi. According to sources, the closure of a part of Indian airspace for three hours in the morning on account of a missile test-firing in the Arabian Sea had also caused the delay. The airspace will be partly closed for traffic between 8.30 a.m. and 11.30 a.m. tomorrow also, sources said. Gulf Air flight GF-270, scheduled for 5.40 a.m., arrived at the Cochin International Airport, Nedumbassery, at 8.10 p.m. The flight returned to Abu Dhabi at 9.40 p.m. Air-India flight AI-946, scheduled for 11.10 a.m., reached Nedumbassery at 6.15 p.m.
