Letters to the Editor
Sir, I was in Kumbakonam for 10 days to participate in the Mahamaham festival. The Tamil Nadu Police deserve due appreciation. It was to their credit that no untoward incident took place and the festival passed off peacefully.
R. Surendran,
* * * Sir, The services rendered by the transport department and the police were remarkable.
S. Viswanathan,
* * * Sir, The police, the Southern Railway, the transport department and the local administration all deserve praise. Credit should also go to the temple authorities and religious heads, who took pains to educate the public.
A.J. Rangarajan,
* * * Sir, The Mahamaham was conducted in the most professional manner.
M. Devi Prasad,
