HYDERABAD, MARCH 8. The Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, will be touring the State from around noon on March 10 till evening on March 12. In a packed schedule, Mrs. Gandhi will take part in three road shows and public meetings at Nandyal, Karimnagar and Kedareswararaopet in Vijayawada. According to a tentative schedule released by the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee, Mrs. Gandhi touch down at Anantapur from Bangalore in a helicopter at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. After travelling by road from Somaladoddi to Marthadu, she will fly to Nandyal. After the public meeting there, she will fly to Hyderabad for a night halt. On Thursday morning, the Congress president will proceed by road, covering several places in the twin cities, including Greenlands, Ameerpet, Vengalrao Nagar, S.R. Nagar, Erragadda, Sanatnagar, Moosapet, Kukatpally, Miyapur, Chandanagar and BHEL, Ramachandrapuram, where she will unveil a statue of her husband, Rajiv Gandhi. She will continue further by road, touching Patancheru, Isnapur crossroads, Kandi, Sangareddy crossroads and the District Congress Committee office before taking the chopper to Karimnagar where she will address the public meeting before returning to the State capital for a night halt. On March 12, Mrs. Gandhi will traverse the city, covering Ramgopalpet, Subhash Road, Secunderabad Railway Station, Keyes Girls High School, Rail Nilayam, Mettuguda, Lalapet, Tarnaka and up to Bhongir, from where she will fly to Vijayawada for her third public meeting. Mrs. Gandhi is expected to return to Hyderabad on Friday evening and catch a flight to New Delhi.
