Congress-TRS trying to mislead people, says BJP

By Our Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD, MARCH 8. The State BJP leadership has accused the Congress and the TRS of enacting a "street play" on the issue of statehood for Telangana and trying to hoodwink people in the name of a second States' Reorganisation Committee (SRC).

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, the State BJP vice-president, S.V.Seshagiri Rao, and the general secretary, G. Kishen Reddy, said the talk of a second SRC was only aimed at deceiving people, as there was no question of the Congress coming to power in the Centre. Dubbing it a "second re-cheating committee," they accused the TRS of giving a go-by to the fundamental issue on which it was founded by joining hands with the Congress, which had not yet categorically declared that it was in favour of a separate Telangana.
