THRISSUR, MARCH 8 . K.R. Meera, senior sub-editor of Malayala Manorama, has been selected for the 14th Ankanam Literary Award for her collection of stories, `Ormayude Njarambu'. The award, carrying a gold medal and a statuette, was decided by a committee comprising M. Thomas Mathew (chairman), P.V. Krishnan Nair and Kalpetta Balakrishnan. Writers below the age of 35 are considered for the prize. Twenty-four books were entered for the contest this year, the chairman of the Ankanam Samskarika Vedi, R.I. Shamsuddin, said at a press conference here on Monday.
