TIRUCHI, MARCH 8 . The City today registered a maximum temperature of 34.5 degree Celsius and a minimum of 20.0 degree Celsius.
Gang held
The gang had waylaid S. Thomas, manager of a private petrol station, when he was on his way to the company office at Benwell's Road in a moped. Two intercepted him near Cantonment and attacked him while three others snatched away his cash and moped. A team, formed by the City Police Commissioner, T. P. Sundaramoorthy, nabbed K. Senthil Kumar (24) of Mudaliar Chathiram, R. Sathish Kumar (21) of Bikshandarkovil, Mohammed Rafeeq, son of a former employee in the company, T.Vasudevan (21 of Chinthamani and U.Karnan (20) of Mudaliar Chathiram. The motorcycle and moped used by the accused were seized. The stolen cash of Rs.95000 and his moped were recovered.
