ADILABAD, MARCH 8. Misarapu Kapilesh, 20, a member of the Chennur-Sirpur dalam of People's War surrendered to the Kagaznagar police on Monday. He was one of the four naxalites who escaped on March 1 in an exchange of fire in Dahegaon mandal in which the Durgam Madanaiah alias Santosh, secretary of the Chennur-Sirpur area died. He was produced at a press conference here by the SP, Mahesh M. Bhagwat who said Kapilesh alias Kondanna, was a resident of Kadamba village under the Easgaon police station limits. After joining the dalam he was given training in use of weapons for a month. He was present in the exchange of fire at Tokuguda in the Mangi forests on January 22. The SP said a reward would be recommended for the naxalite. Answering questions, Kapilesh said he was disillusioned with the naxal movement.
