Letters to the Editor
Sir, This refers to growing obscenity in the mass media. Movies are full of vulgar scenes and dialogues meant only to titillate. All talk of tackling crime against women is meaningless without curbing the "glorification of evil" by the media. Noise against such permissive trends is heard from time to time but unfortunately, political leaders and the intelligentsia are not very responsive to the issue. Some kind of "cultural renaissance" is the need of the hour.
