Partly cloudy

Chennai March 9. The sky will be partly cloudy on Wednesday. The maximum temperature will be 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum 24.

On Tuesday, Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 31.6 degrees Celsius and 32.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 24.4 and 24. Humidity was 56 and 65 per cent.

Power cut

Power supply will be suspended on Thursday in parts of Santhome, S.K. Nagar, Mannady, Chintadripet, Park Town, Royapuram, MMDA Colony and Perungudi.

Celebrated

Employees of Aavin, Tamil Nadu Co-operative Producers' Federation Limited, celebrated the International Women's Day at the Vivekananda Vidyalaya, Perambur, on Monday. The role of women in society was the main theme for discussion.

Blood donated

A total of 280 units of blood were collected at a blood donation camp organised by National Service Scheme, Sriram Engineering College, Rotary Club of Chennai Galaxy and Madras Voluntary Blood Bank at Sriram Engineering College at Perumalpattu on Monday.

Organised

The Rotary Club of Madras East, National Service Scheme and Youth Red Cross units of T.S. Narayanaswami College of Arts and Science, Navalur, organised a blood donation camp last week. About 80 students donated blood, which was given to Jeevan Blood Bank.
