CHENNAI, MARCH 9. A cyclist was killed on the spot when a water tanker knocked him down on the Medavakkam Main Road at Ullagaram today. The police said the unidentified victim, around 35 years, was going towards Adambakkam. Near the Oil Mill bus stop, the tanker hit him from behind. Last evening, a 22-year-old woman was killed when a private bus knocked down a cycle which she was riding pillion with her father, near Porur. The police said Ramaprabha was on her way home at Vigneswara Nagar when the bus, carrying employees of a private company, hit her. She was killed on the spot and her father escaped unhurt, the police said.
