TDP manifesto today

By Our Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD, MARCH 9. The TDP president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, will release the long-awaited election manifesto of his party at NTR Bhavan here on Wednesday morning.

The manifesto was originally scheduled to be released immediately before or after the TDP's Vijayabheri rally in Hyderabad on February 22 but prolonged internal discussions on the document and the efforts to seek opinions of people have delayed the process.

Mr. Naidu spent a major part of Tuesday in discussions with the manifesto committee convenor, Ummareddy Venkateswarlu, and others giving the final touches to the document.

Party sources said the primary emphasis in the manifesto would be projection of the TDP as a `pro-poor party' and, accordingly, a promise of facilitating every family in the State to cross the poverty line.
