'None of the above'

Sir, — This refers to the debate on providing a `none of the above' option in the electronic voting machine. Many people are favouring this.

But whether it will succeed in preventing criminals and other undeserving candidates from entering the electoral battle remains to be seen.

Sir, — The rich, who are more immune to false propaganda than the poor, abstaining from voting is not a positive sign.

It is time to explore ways to increase the voter turnout. Will online voting make a difference?
