THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MARCH 10. The president of the Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce, Siyad Kokker, has said that no discussions would be held with the office-bearers of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) for resolving the crisis in the Malayalam film industry. Speaking at the `Talk Time' programme organised by the Kerala Union of Working Journalists here today, Mr. Kokker said the problems in the film industry would be settled according to the directions of the film producers. The producers who invest money for making films had the right to decide on the future of the film, he said. He said a meeting of the Film Chamber to be held in Kochi on March 12 would discuss the issue of making films without the help of artistes who were members of AMMA. The Chamber would provide all possible help for the release of the films which were before the Censor Board after completion of shooting. The leaders of the Film Chamber, S. Chandran, Kireedom Unni and Mamachan Issac Francis, also attended the press conference. TV artistes' demand Meanwhile, the Confederation of Television Artistes, Commercial Operators and Technicians (CONTACT) has urged the Government not to consider the request made by the Film Chamber to remove T.K. Rajiv Kumar from the Chalachithra Academy chairman's post.
