At Waltair, the maximum temperature was 30.2 degree Celsius and the minimum was 21.3 degree Celsius respectively on Wednesday.

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. and at 5.30 p.m. were 68 per cent and 69 per cent respectively.

At Airport, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 33.0 degree Celsius and 20.4 degree Celsius respectively, while humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 68 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. was also 49 per cent.

At Dolphin's Nose, the minimum temperature was 20.4 degree Celsius and humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 71 per cent.

Fines collected

The IV Metropolitan Magistrate booked 493 commuters for various offences while travelling by city buses and collected fines amounting to Rs. 10,790, according to the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) regional manager, D. Satyanrayana.

`Increase quota for women'

The present 33 per cent reservation for women in law-making bodies should be enhanced to 50 per cent, the City Mahila Congress general secretary, Syed Abida, demanded at a meeting organised at the Government Women's College on Monday in connection with the International Women's Day.
